c.1965 Yonezawa Rolls Royce Silver Cloud in Original Box
Majestic tin litho Rolls Royce Silver Cloud Saloon manufactured in Japan by Yonezawa. Friction drive and loaded with chrome. Toy is in prestigious mint in box condition! Even the slightest mark will show up against a black background, but you won't find a single flaw on this magnificent automobile. Comes complete with original box which compliments the toy by grading excellent+ to near mint. A real beauty. Yonezawa accurately captured the regal qualities of an actual Silver Cloud. Most noticeable is its huge, fully chromed squared grille. It's nearly ¼" thick and is capped with chrome plated metal hood ornament. The only plastic piece on the entire toy is the steering wheel. It features a fully detailed interior with elongated passenger compartment, "stretched" tapered jet black hood, Rolls Royce license plates front and back, and a solid plate chassis embossed with the Rolls name. The front of the car has no less than nine individually chromed metal components. The solid rubber tires were capped with authentically styled, chrome plated hubs. Also plated are both windshield frames and rear bumper. It has both of its original, blue tinted celluloid windshields (front and back). The manufacturer's trademark and "Made In Japan" were lithoed onto the back of the passenger seat just below the windshield. The box was illustrated with angled views of the Rolls on its three main box panels. The Yonezawa logo is prominently displayed on the front. The box still has its original 79¢ price sticker from Woolworth. Also included are its original insert and tissue paper separator. Size: 8½" long. Sold: Dec. 2007
